The Port-A-Shop is more of a (well-presented) multi-tool expansion kit than the portable workshop its name suggests. It provides a range of tools that should cover most car park bike-tinkering needs. The bulk of them are contained within three high-quality multi-tools. There’s a wide range of Allen and Torx wrenches, and the inclusion of traditional and glueless patch kits is a nice touch. The range of tools falls short of other kits on test if you’re looking to fully assemble a bike.A separate spoke key would be easier to use than the one integrated into the chain tool. Price $165

This has the most tools on test and is the only one with 8mm and 10mm spanners. Integrated mechanical stops mean you can apply good leverage on these spanners to get nuts fairly tight. Most of the tools are a whopping 6cm long (excluding the handle), which makes accessing recessed bolts that bit easier. The Blox 23’s longer tools add extra bulk and weight (200g). The chain tool can get in the way, and the protective neoprene sleeve can be fiddly to get on and off. After minor use, the corrosion-resistant coating began peeling off on a couple of the Allen keys. Price $45

Lezyne’s most powerful light has some neat features but obvious off-road issues. The built-in thick rubber strap is awkward to hook into place, and noticeable shake on rough ground can be distracting. While the three LEDs don’t have much reach, they give a broad, smooth-edged spread without any irregularities. The prominent button makes it easy to use the light in thick gloves. Because the off, strobe and pulse modes are back-to-back in the menu, moving between power settings can require three hand-off-the-bar switch presses. ‘Overdrive Race’ mode dodges the flashing functions but only switches between 1,500-lumen ‘Overdrive’ and feeble 250-lumen ‘Economy’, making it impractical. The light on its own costs $210, with the ‘Loaded’ kit adding a run-timedoubling supplementary battery. Weight 270g Run time 1hr 35mins Price $315

With a minimalist CNC’ed aluminium head, the Control Drive feels high quality. Despite its small size, attention to detail is high too. A rubber seal engages with the cartridge threads as soon as you begin loading the inflator, which means little gas is lost before the valve is opened. The head slips easily over both Schrader and Presta valves, and the control knob is knurled for grip and simple to operate. The price is a little high considering that the inflator only comes with a single cartridge. Price $37 w/16g cartridge

This little alloy pump has a detachable hose, which screws neatly into the handle when not in use. A bleed valve on the hose makes it easy to unscrew the pump from the valve without removing the valve core or twisting the valve stem in the rim – a great feature, which saves faff on the trail. Its real selling point, though, is the in-built digital pressure gauge. Although we did get the odd high or low reading, for the most part we found it to be very accurate, which meant we didn’t need to carry a separate digital gauge. This is the all-rounder version of the pump, capable of inflating tyres to a whopping 120psi – useful if you have a commuter or road bike too, but the higher-volume Digital Alloy Drive ($105) will get mountain bike tyres up quicker. With the Digital Pressure Drive, it took us 120 strokes to inflate a (tubed) 29x2.4in tyre to 29psi. Our only real gripe is the 174g weight – we wish it were a touch lighter. Price $105

Gripping the Lezyne Allen Block , the first thing you notice is its high quality, reassuringly solid feel.As the name suggests, the focus here is on Allen keys. Ten are included, all of a decent enough length to let you tackle the fiddlier jobs many multi-tools just won’t reach.

SO GOOD The V 11 is the slimmest and lightest tool on test, at only 107g. It comes in a neat case and has a solid, well-made feel despite its size. Our experience with Lezyne tools tells us they’ll withstand years of abuse too.

SO GOOD If you’re a technophobe or a weight weenie this could be the GPS unit for you. It weighs just 36g including the mount and set-up faff is minimal.

THE BIGGEST OF Lezyne’s three new GPS computers can compile ride, rider and other info from all sorts of sources, but its bulk, Bluetooth battery life and limited display options are potentially frustrating.

We’ve tested the Lezyne Mega Drive before and it’s always struck us as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Despite the all-alloy body, it still looks a bit like a commuter light. Switch it on and it’s a whole different story.

THIS FLOOR-STANDING shock pump has a digital gauge for accurate reading and a unique bleed system so no air is lost when you unscrew the pump trom the valve.

SO GOOD… The all-metal construction of the Floor Drive oozes quality. This attention to detail extends to the long hose and big dial, which shows only the first 70psi for accurate inflation. The shaft has a large volume for fast inflation but the stroke isn’t stiff. Swapping between valve types is easy.

SO GOOD… The Lezyne’s build quality is instantly striking, and it packs a punch thanks to its large air volume and 310mm length. In the 100-stroke test, we reached 16.5psi. Swapping between Presta and Schrader valves is easy, and the head screws into the base to keep dirt out. It’s the only pump on test with a built-in gauge.
