Sony Action Camera FDR-X1000VR

Sony Action Camera FDR-X1000VR

Sony's latest action cam, poetically named the FDR-X1000VR, promises to deliver 4K (4x the resolution of 1,080p Full HD) filming in a lightweight, waterproof package.

It'll also be able to capture 1,080p footage at 120 frames per second for super-slow motion playback. Setting it apart from the market-leading GoPro are Sony's SteadyShot image stabilisation system and a wide-angle 170-degree Zeiss lens, which should render it well-suited to making sense of those wild MTB moments.
