Mudhugger Front Race mudguard

Mudhugger have revised their popular Front Race guard, extending overall coverage and replacing the mounting slots with holes in a bid to make it even more secure.

Fitting is easy with the supplied zipties, though we reckon the old slots gave a better fit with more fork shapes. The plastic is durable enough to take abuse but the light weight and extra length of the guard, coupled with the less versatile mounting, mean that in thick mud we found it would get weighed down, sag and eventually contact the tyre. While it does a great job of keep the grime out of your eyes, this is an issue that’s hard to overlook.
