Maxxis Aggressor 3C Maxx Terra EXO TR 2.3in tyre

Maxxis have the full-on aggro quarter covered with the Shorty, High Roller II and Minion, while the Ardent, Ardent Race, CrossMark and Ikon are all classic max-speed choices.

The Aggressor is designed to fill the gap with an efficient but trustworthy all-rounder. The EXO Protection carcass does its usual easy sealing, reassuringly stable but not too weighty job, and it drops down to low-20s psi without crumpling under load. The mid-spaced tread feels particularly surefooted on typical trail centre terrain and in drier woodsy conditions, and while it can clog in really sticky situations, it’s OK in the damp. Softer shoulders mean grip levels are predictably similar all the way into the lean. Rolling speed is average, not amazing, but it wears well over time and is a good price.
