Madison Addict Storm waterproof jacket

MADISON DESIGNED THEIR Addict Storm jacket to take on anything the British weather can throw at it, and so far it’s done just that.

It’s made from a hard wearing, robust fabric that, although great at keeping the weather out, does mean it heats up quite quickly if it’s not Baltic out. There are two big frontfacing vents that do help with airflow, but this is scuppered somewhat when wearing a pack.

The four zipped pockets are waterproof and handy for stashing essentials in. There’s also a detachable hood that’ll fit comfortably over a lid should things get really grim. Velcro cuffs and a drawstring hem mean you can properly batten down the hatches too.

In serious downpours the Addict Storm does an impressive job of keeping the rain out, but its heavy construction means it’s better suited to uplift use than long days pedalling, especially if it’s mild out.
