At first glance there isn’t much to this jacket: a single pocket, a simple hood, and no vents or stretch panels. However, it did impress with its water resistance as it was surprisingly impervious to the elements in the field.
In our controlled test
of putting the jacket through the washing machine before running it under a tap
it resisted seepage impressively well. The fit is a little more relaxed than
the Endura MTR, which helps it to feel slightly cooler when riding, but it’s
not overly baggy either.
Irritatingly, the hood
is neither removable nor packable, but it doesn’t flap about too badly, and is
nicely fitted when you do need it. The jacket packs away loosely into the chest
pocket, which is also a handy place to store a phone or car keys.
Less features, but good fit and performance.
