Endura MTR shell jacket

The Scottish gear gurus at Endura know a thing or two about rain. The emergency shell does what it’s supposed to: stuff it in your bag and deploy it when the heavens open. Rain and water beads and runs off without soaking in. Even after subjecting it to the washing machine, water was repelled superbly.

The cut is fitted and streamlined yet unrestrictive thanks to strategic stretch panels. Devoid of pockets, it isn’t designed to be worn all day, which is just as well as the close fit and lack of vents make it clammy before long, despite the full-length zip.

The fleecy collar makes it relatively cosy when zipped up. Although it extends at the back, the MTR is shorter as well as slimmer than others, so consider sizing up.

Waterproof, light and well designed, if the cut fits.
