THEY AREN’T CHEAP, but these well made and feature packed shorts are the epitome of classic mountainbike-specific functionality, and on the bike they don’t disappoint.
The multi-panel shell is made from a durable ripstop
fabric that shrugs off the typical UK trail splash that hangs around even in
high summer. It’s mesh lined throughout, with a smooth taped waist seam and
plenty of pockets. The material is quite warm though, and although the mesh
lining helps, we’d probably keep the Asper shorts for cooler days. The fit is
on the small side too, and although they’re not restrictive on the bike – just
a bit snugger on the thighs than we’d ideally like – we’d recommend going up a
size if you fall between sizes or prefer a looser feel.
