Xcel HD Sport Edition Action Camera

THE WORLD HAS gone action camera crazy in recent years, and with no signs of the trend slowing down, more and more brands are popping up, offering new features that increase the possibilities of what these handy little contraptions can do.

The XCEL HD takes a similar approach to the market leading GoPro, with a compact (6x4.3x4cm) boxy camera body, clear waterproof housing and an array of different mounting options. It can shoot in 1,080 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second or 480p at 60fps, has a 5 megapixel stills mode and a choice of wide angle or ‘ultra wide’ field of view. The camera comes with a useful wi-fi remote too.

PRICE 300$

Gusset Magnum stem

SO GOOD Gusset’s 50mm stem is nicely CNC machined from 7075 alloy and the faceplate and internal steerer clamp are available in a range of five anodised colours to complement the black body. The hidden steerer clamp keeps sharp edges to a minimum and removes stress from the body of the stem. Out on the bike, the stem proved flex free and bombproof.
