Source Race 15L hydration pack

SOURCE'S MID-SIZED PACK uses a classic layout and has a distinctive hose with a braided outer that can make its state of cleanliness a bit of an unknown.

The bag itself is OK, with zipped mesh hip pockets adding fast phone/gel/tool access to the classic one-and-a-half main compartments configuration. The extendable cargo net is irritatingly low slung, which limits secure capacity. The bag shifts around and bumps your helmet on steep descents or step-downs when it's full too, but on the plus side, you do get a whistle on the chest strap.

The 3l Widepac bladder has an easy-fill zip-lock top. The hose is detachable, and there's a plastic 'garage' on the shoulder strap for the big, fat, right-angled bite valve. The flow rate isn't great though and the braided hose outer means you can't see how clean - or not - the insides are. Unless you're fastidious about cleaning, this pack might not be for you.
