Nukeproof Zero stem

SO GOOD
This simple, well finished heavy-duty 50mm stem was designed with input from Team CRC-Nukeproof’s 4X racers and has proved more than capable of taking the big hits on an enduro bike too. Where possible, excess material has been shaved away, and the resulting 173g weight is a decent trade-off between gram saving and reassuring substance. The opposing bolts on the steerer clamp help keep tightening forces even.

NO GOOD
Those 4mm bolts again – grrr! The lack of torque settings left us tightening it to ‘about right’. The ‘team’ graphics will be Marmite to many too.

PRICE 69$

Canyon Spectral AL 6.0

Round two, and the 6.0 leaps out of the blocks. From the moment we're off the smaller wheeled Spectral wants to go flat out. Standing on the pedals on the small steep climbs is slightly more reactive, surging the Spectral forward that little more eagerly. We need more body language to get the wheels over the roots, but again the 2.4in Mountain King's tread impresses.
