Blackburn Toolmanator 5 multi-tool

AT JUST 60MM long and with only five tools, the Toolmanator 5 is more of a pocket-sized emergency fettler than a full-on 'rebuild your bike on the side of the trail' number. Weighing just 41g, it'll sit in a short or jersey pocket without weighing you down or flapping about while you ride.

The 3, 4, 5 and 6mm Allen keys and flat blade screwdriver are chrome vanadium bits so should hold up well over time. Oddly, our 6mm bit was a touch undersized, though not so small that you'd risk rounding off bolt heads with it.

The tool's compact size does mean you're limited to small tweaks rather than full on repair jobs simply because of the restricted leverage on offer.
