Kenda Kiniption 26x2.3in Tyre

THE SUPER-FAST-ROLLING
Kiniption is essentially a 26in BMXtyre, making it perfect for dirt jumps and skate parks.

The ultra low profile, diamond shaped tread pattern will fit into the shortest-chainstayed dirt jump bikes and still leave you enough clearance to get home with a slight buckle in your wheel. Pumped up to 60psi, the tyre's round profile makes it feel narrower than its nominal 2.3in width. This made manualling feel less stable than we'd have liked and made balancing on the rear wheel trickier too. At pump tracks we'd prefer something with a bit more grip on the front, but at softer, sandy dirt jumps and skate parks, the Kiniption will be everyone's friend.

KONA SHRED

With a reputation for no-nonsense ruggedness and a background in the always progressive and punishing riding of Canada, Kona have been building hardcore hardtails for longer than almost anyone else. The Shred is the most expensive bike on test but it’s a proper trail tank.

DRC X-Monitor SP1 lap timer

While smartphone apps such as Strava can be a useful way to keep tabs on your mountain bike rides, sometimes you just can’t beat the simplicity and instant feedback that a good old-fashioned stopwatch style lap timer provides.
