Hope Tech 3 E4 brakes

HOPE’S NEW, NEATER Tech 3 lever isn’t ambidextrous but it sits against shifters and remotes a lot better than previous Tech levers.

It’s I-Spec compatible as standard, with SRAM adaptors available. The mudproof drilled lever drives through a cam-and-roller system for a really smooth feel, and Hope’s separate reach and bite point dials work far better than rival adjusters.

The shorter lever and reduced leverage mean slightly less power than the Tech EVO lever, and it’s still heavy for a trail brake, but it’s on-par with Avid four-pots and modulation is excellent. Build quality, reliability and Hope’s legendary ‘above and beyond’ factory-direct back-up are all second to none. The Tech 3 E4 isn’t light, but it offers consistently rich control and the best lever adjustment available.
