Troy Lee Designs T-bone II Pads

THE KNEE PADS that changed the way knee pads have looked for the past decade have had a redesign for 2014. While the originals were a step in the right direction 10 years ago, the new T-Bone IIs are even slimmer and more lightweight, making them ideal for wearing under race pants as well as with shorts.

Behind the tough ballistic nylon cover lies a moulded EVA outer shell that houses a combination of memory foam and absorbent thermoplastic rubber. The pads’ pre-bent shape, dual elastic Velcro straps and silicone grippers should all help keep them in place over the rough stuff.

Its rock solid responsiveness and short-stroke fork make it seriously unforgiving on rougher trails though.
