AFTER A COUPLE of years riding in Sam Hill’s shadow, baby faced
Aussie youngster (and two-time junior world champ) Troy Brosnan has emerged as one
of the top contenders on the DH circuit, beating his former teammate and
challenging for World Cup glory. It’s no wonder then that Specialized have decided
to release the young whippersnapper’s very own signature edition Dissident
full-face helmet.
Other than its special paintjob, the helmet doesn’t differ
from the standard Dissident. It weighs just 1,080g, thanks partly to its carbon
matrix shell, and ticks off all the major safety standards and then some, along
with being neck brace friendly and compatible with the EJECT safety system
(available separately). Will it make you as fast as young Troy? Who knows.
